Your service provider may occasionally require prepayments or down payments to schedule appointments. As long as the services are eligible, any advanced payments are, too. However, IRS regulations state that prepayments cannot be reimbursed until after you have received the services.
After receiving all services, upload a document showing the date, services rendered, and the amount charged for the applicable expense request, and our documentation review team will review it.
Another category of prepayments is treatment plans. Treatment plans cannot be used as they are only an estimate of what to expect. The cost and date of service might change after the work has been completed. Since we verify based on the actual date of service and not the payment date, treatment plans do not work to confirm that.
If you have any questions about eligible services, you can view categories from your personal dashboard by clicking the GET REIMBURSED button. This page provides eligibility information and will show if a note from your doctor is required.
