During the year, you can choose to make changes to your health benefit settings. This includes adjusting the allowance amounts and which employees are eligible to participate in the benefit (full-time employees only vs. full-time and part-time employees).
To make changes to your current benefit year from your account dashboard, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Go to Benefit Details
Step 2: Click the edit link to the right of Benefit Design.
Step 3: Select edit on your class design
Step 4: Make updates as necessary
Step 4: Click SAVE
Important to know:
- You aren't able to change the allowance amounts for the current or previous months, so you will need to be sure to update this prior to the month you want the change to take effect.
- Making changes to which employees are eligible for the benefit will impact the entire benefit year. For example, if you choose to start offering PeopleKeep to part-time employees mid-year, the change is retroactive to the beginning of the benefit year.
- You cannot change from Premiums Plus to Premiums Only mid-year. You can change from Premiums Only to Premiums Plus mid-year. The change is retroactive to the beginning of the benefit year.
- You can choose to start reimbursing spousal employer-sponsored premiums mid-year. The change is retroactive to the beginning of the benefit year.
- Waiting periods cannot be changed after the benefit year has started.
